The Studio was part of the distinctive Californa-style Arts and Crafts movement and was a direct pushback against mass industrialization and factory manufacturing, also known as “Hand, Head, and Heart”. This philosophy believed that everyday functional objects should also be beautiful, individual pieces of art. This style features bold, simple shapes and included motifs such as floral accents and patterns inspired by plants and nature.
