The "diamonte" (diamond) motif has been a favorite design for generations of coppersmiths in Santa Clara del Cobre. Historically the diamond has been a symbol of strength and invulnerability. Master Coppersmith Antonio Ziranda has created a diamond pattern on this vase using respousse', a technique dating to ancient Mesopotamia.

This hand-hammered copper sculptural object has been beautifully crafted by Master Smith Antonio Ziranda. The spiral design was inspired by a fern fiddlehead found in the abundant pine forests near Antonio's village, Santa Clara del Cobre. We only have one of these so don't procrastinate!

Grueby Faience Company was founded in 1894 by William Grueby who was inspired by French pottery matte glazes, particularly the cucumber green that became the company's hallmark, and the refined simplicity of Japanese ceramics. In its heyday Grueby was sold through Tiffany Studios in New York City and Gustav Stickley incorporated Grueby tiles in his furniture. This beauty measures 12" high and has a subtle, abstracted leaf and pod design in repousse.
