Within a few decades Japanese arts were well represented at the Chicago 1893 World's Columbian Exposition  and the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair. The simplicity of design and connection to the natural world resonated with Frank Lloyd Wright, Greene and Greene and other 20th century Arts & Crafts designers.
