This planter was made in Dirk van Erp’s workshop in the early 20th century. Van Erp’s workshop was one of the few Arts & Crafts period craft shops to prosper and endure from the original Arts & Crafts Movement, through its decline and its renaissance in the late 1970’s. Dirk started making art metalware shortly after 1900 in the San Francisco Bay Area and the studio continued until the death of his son, William van Erp in 1977. This beauty measures 5.75″ high and 6.25″ at the widest, the perfect size for a garden bouquet or special plant.
